Torren and Quinn are just gorgeous. I laughed and cried with Quinn. She lost her sister to suicide and all the clues lined up to point at a broken heart being the cause. She meets Torren while working at his campus and there is chemistry between them whether Quinn wants to admit it or not. Little does Quinn know that there are secrets being kept by Torren, her parents and she's also keeping secrets from her family and friends too. Secrets are never good and the twists at the end of the novel have all of the secrets revealed in one explosion after another.

This was a great read and I couldn't put it down once I started. I loved that the characters were developed throughout the novel and we got to see their weaknesses and strengths as they went through each situation.

STRIPPED edition by Brooklyn Skye Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

The cover of this book is beautiful and very strong. I love the owl necklace…very eerie but also beautiful! Also major props on the names - Quinn and Torrin – very original and awesome! This book was about heart break and how you deal with it to figure out your own life. Quinn’s sister took her own life and she’s always struggled with it. She believed it to be for a specific reason and when she finds out the truth everything changes! Torrin is a boy who happened to be in the right place at the right time with the wrong (lying) name! I feel for Quinn and everything that she’s going through but in a sad way she puts a lot of it on herself with not opening up to people and jumping to conclusions. The whole story was a nice wrap up of how they met, became friends, start to feel something for one another than BAM something big happens!! -semi spoiler! - I like how they didn’t just rush back together and everything became hunky dory after everything got laid out! I’m happy and excited there’s a .5 out because if there wasn’t I would have been crying for an epilogue!
Where is Torrin when I need him?!! HOT rower..OVER HERE please!!

Quinn is a young woman beat down by the semantics of a good life gone bad. She has been dealt a hard, rough hand the in the last year. Her sister killed herself over a boy and she was Quinn's rock, the one person she could always go to when she needed advice or help.

She has put her self in an emotionless box and doesn't allow anyone near enough to open it or look inside. She hides behind a boyfriend she doesn't even like so other guys will not bother with her and she won't have to worry about "liking" someone. Her father also lost his job and his was their only income so to stay at her college she must try to make money by being a naked model for an art class at a nearby community college. Her father losing his job was a huge deal and made the news over a year ago when he "helped" a non student play on one of his college's sports teams. Quinn blames the kid and his family that were good friends with her dad and tries to find him to confront him about what he did to her family. There she meets Torrin.

Torrin is your typical, good looking, awesome body, great personality hunk! But Torrin also has his own problems. He is suspended from his rowing team for an "undisclosed" reason and meets Quinn outside the art building in typical Quinn "Hand-off" fashion.

"I'd be better if you didn't practice your body-slamming skills on innocent victims." -Quinn

The two start an unlikely friendship with Quinn being rude and oftentimes hateful towards Torrin. But Torrin being the "savior" that he is, keeps trying to win her over. and get Quinn to trust him. It takes some time and a boating incident for Quinn to see his ways, but he wins! Even though both have issues to work out that have changed the shape of who they are, maybe, just maybe, they can be molded into shapes that fit together to complete a puzzle.

Who knew a finally letting your guard down would entail you also falling in love with the one person you unknowingly also hate the most! Poor Quinn keeps getting dealt crap!! When she finally allows someone into her heart, it gets smashed in the worst possible way!! Betrayal is not even a good enough word!! Can Quinn and Torrin work through it and have their happily ever afar that they deserve?
Some people have a large personal bubble. They need more personal space around them. Then there are the people who lack the understanding of Stay Outside My Bubble. Often these are the people most in need of a tic tac.

Quinn has a large Personal Bubble. Both physically and emotionally. She keeps everyone at arms length. She even has a pseudo-boyfriend to keep other guys away. Quinn's family has been through some shit. Her sister, Zoe committed suicide. Her dad was involved in a scandal at work that got him fired and her family on the Social Leper List. Her parents can't pay for her college anymore and she has to take a job modeling in the nude. Its not trashy, just super humiliating.

Quin meets Torrin at the school where she models. She immediatley tells him to back off even though he is just being a nice guy. She doesn't like nice guys. Or any guys for that matter. She does not want to end up broken hearted and suicidal like her sister. Torrin rows crew. You know what thet means...shoulders a mile wide and rock hard thighs. Yeah I know a rower.

As Torrin slowly gets inside Quinn's bubble, he is patient and creative in lowering her guard. But Quinn feels her secrets are too big to be shared. Her shame, her dad's disgrace is too much to for her to handle. How could she expect anyone else to handle it?

Quinn's issues, her bubble is holding her back from living her life. From finding love. Can she push past the barriers she has erected? Can Torrin be the guy for her? The story moves slowly at first with lots of flashbacks to Zoe and Quinn's nightmares. But when she finally lets Torrin in, it is so worth it. The twist was expected but still good. So make sure you have a glass of wine inside your bubble and enjoy the read.
